Technical Information

• Recycled Plastic Content – Plastic Products

  Our plastic products are manufactured using 70% certified recycled plastic (20% pre-consumer and 50% post-consumer recycled content), according to TÜV Austria OK Recycled Certificate No. 3511534324004_04.

• Product Specifications

  The following tolerances apply to the declared dimensions and weights of the products, as specified in the respective product technical data sheets.

• UV Resistance – Plastic, Ceramic and Terracotta

  Resistant to sunlight exposure. Maintains structural integrity following accelerated weathering testing.

  Products were tested for UV resistance using an accelerated xenon arc exposure test in accordance with ISO 4892-2 for 1,000 hours, as documented in Test Report RES 250547 01.

  Typical interpretations commonly used within the horticultural plastics industry:

• Weather Resistance – Plastic, Ceramic and Terracotta

  Performance validated through accelerated climatic weathering testing. No degradation, discoloration or cracking was observed on any of the tested references after completion of five climatic ageing cycles, as documented in Test Report RES 250547 02 .

• Corrosion Resistance – Metal Accessories

  Coating tested for corrosion resistance in accordance with ISO 9227 using a 24-hour Neutral Salt Spray (NSS) test, as documented in Test Report RES 250547 03.

• Vapour Permeability – Terracotta

  Natural terracotta tested in accordance with EN 1015-19, demonstrating water vapour permeability, a characteristic that contributes to the material's natural breathability, as documented in Test Report No. 1.5.998/2024.

• Freeze-Thaw Resistance – Terracotta

  Product tested for freeze-thaw resistance in accordance with UNI 8635-11, maintaining its functionality after 25 freeze-thaw cycles between -15°C and +15°C, as documented in Test Reports Nos. 1.5.1001/2024, 1.5.999/2024 and 1.5.1000/2024.

• Impact Resistance – Terracotta

  Rim impact resistance determined in accordance with ASTM C368-88, as documented in Test Report No. 1.5.2065/2023.

When considered collectively, these results demonstrate that ARTEVASI terracotta pots, when tested for mechanical resistance, climatic ageing, UV exposure and freeze-thaw cycling, maintain their functionality under representative outdoor use conditions.

Compliance Regarding the Presence of Hazardous Substances

ARTEVASI, S.A., as a manufacturer and user of packaging materials, acknowledges its legal obligations under applicable European chemical and environmental safety regulations and is committed to effectively managing its environmental responsibilities and maintaining full compliance with:

• REACH and POP Regulations
  • Regulation (EC) No. 1907/2006 concerning the Registration, Evaluation, Authorisation and Restriction of Chemicals (REACH)
    • Articles supplied by ARTEVASI, S.A. comply with the REACH Regulation, ensuring that chemical substances present in our products do not pose unacceptable risks to human health or the environment.
    • Based on the review of declarations of conformity and safety data sheets provided by our suppliers of pigments, raw materials and packaging materials, ARTEVASI confirms that substances included in the SVHC Candidate List are not intentionally added to these products and are not expected to be present at concentrations ≥ 0.1% (w/w).
  • Regulation (EU) 2019/1021 on Persistent Organic Pollutants (POPs)
    • Products and packaging materials used by ARTEVASI, S.A. comply with this Regulation and do not contain substances prohibited under its provisions.
    • Based on information provided by our pigment, raw material and packaging suppliers, and on current knowledge of the materials used, we confirm that the articles supplied by ARTEVASI do not contain substances classified as POPs above the legally permitted concentration limits established by this Regulation.

Safe Use

• ARTEVASI products are intended exclusively for gardening and horticultural applications. They must not be used for any other purpose.
